Catherine Walker, age 14, is a self taught chef who began cooking on her own at the age of 11. Catherine is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and eggs, so cooking at home has always been a part of her life. She began writing “Cook It Up: Delicious Recipes for Healthy Cooking” in 2016, an allergy cookbook with 70 of her original recipes and her own photography. Catherine is a Freshman and Western Reserve Academy. She races sailboats in the summer and she enjoys tennis, dance, and singing. She hopes that her cookbook will inspire not only people with food allergies, but everyone to “Cook It Up” with delicious recipes for healthy cooking.
