Smoothie Saturday!

Updated: Apr 20, 2021

I'm back with more recipes!

Recently I have loved starting my morning with a smoothie! There are and unlimited amount of combinations and it allows you to get so many nutrients all in a drink. I have a small handheld blender which has become my best friend in the kitchen. I use this about twice a day. My go-to smoothie is a banana berry flavor. I always have bananas at my house as long as different types of frozen or fresh berries at hand. I love being able to throw my favorite ingredients in a blender and instantly have a delicious smoothie. I always use honey as a natural sweetener since it is both good for you and natural. Here is my banana berry smoothie recipe! You can add any type of berries but I love to go for raspberries, strawberries and occasionally blueberries. These are so easy to make allergy friendly. You can use any type of milk or juice and substitute as you like! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

1 banana

1/2 cup frozen strawberries

1/3 cup frozen raspberries

1 T honey

1/2 - 3/4 cup of dairy free milk depending on desired consistency (I use rice milk)

INSTRUCTIONS

Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Sometimes frozen fruit will get stuck in the bottom so make sure to stop the blender in the middle of the blending process and use a spoon to scrape the bottom make sure you get all of the frozen fruit blended.
